Class 10 student collapses and dies immediately after testing positive for Covid

OYOOR: A class 10 student collapsed and died immediately after testing positive for Covid. The deceased has been identified as Gauthami (15), daughter of late Mahesh and Sulabha. She was a student of SKV school, Thrikkannamangal.

Gauthami's brother Gokul has been undergoing treatment for Covid for one week. On Monday morning, Gauthami felt unwell and she was taken to the Covid First-Line Treatment Centre in Odanavattam. she later underwent a Covid test and her test result returned positive. Following this, Gauthami collapsed. Though she was immediately rushed to Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital, she could not be saved. The funeral will take place on Tuesday evening.
