Film producer and celebrity chef Naushad passes away

KOCHI: Renowned chef and film producer Naushad (55) has passed away. He was treated at a private hospital in Thiruvalla. He is the owner of 'Noushad the Big Chef', a leading catering and restaurant chain. Naushad is the producer of several films including Kazhcha, Chattambinad, Best Actor, Lion, Payyans and Spanish Masala.

Naushad Catering was well known abroad. He was also notable for his television cooking shows. He started his career as a filmmaker by producing the his classmate Blessy's first film 'Kazhcha'. His wife died two weeks ago. Friends said this made Naushad more mentally and physically exhausted.
