Kerala records 31,265 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, TPR at 18.67, 153 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 31,265 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, CM Vijayan told the media here. Among these, 29,891 persons developed the disease through contact, including 1158 cases without an identified source of infection. 120 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 96 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

21,468 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,04,896 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 153 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 20,466.

Thrissur 3957, Ernakulam 3807, Kozhikode 3292, Malappuram 3199, Kollam 2751, Palakkad 2488, Thiruvananthapuram 2360, Alappuzha 1943, Kottayam 1680, Kannur 1643, Pathanamthitta 1229, Wayanad 1224, Idukki 1171, Kasaragod 521.

1,67,497 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 18.67.
