KOLLAM: The RSP's protest has once again created problems in the UDF, which is reeling from the outbursts in the Congress. The RSP leaders were outraged that the letter, which was submitted for bilateral talks, did not reach a decision after 40 days.
Neither UDF chairman V D Satheesan nor convener M M Hasan have said anything about this. Subsequently, the RSP state secretariat meeting held the other day decided not to attend the UDF meet anymore.
The RSP is also considering of leaving the front. Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala earlier brought the RSP to the United Front. With the arrival of V D Satheesan as opposition leader and Sudhakaran as KPCC chief, the crisis in the Congress also led the RSP to consider leaving the Front.
RSP leaders said the future plans will be decided at the meeting on September 4. RSP leader Shibu Baby John had criticized the ongoing controversy in the Congress the other day. He blamed the UDF's indiscipline for not taking action despite knowing that it was the cause of the election defeat.
