IAS reshuffle in state: New collectors for four districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has carried out an overhaul at IAS officer level in the state. TV Anupama will be the new director of the Scheduled Tribes Department. She was also given the additional responsibility of the Entrance Commissioner. Mohammad Y Zafarullah has been appointed as the GST Special Commissioner. Sajith Babu will be the Director of Disaster Management and Abdul Nasser is the new Director of the Employment Guarantee Mission.


There is also a change in district collectors. District Collectors of Malappuram, Kannur, Wayanad and Kollam have been transferred. Former Kannur Collector TV Subhash will be the director of the agriculture department. S Chandrasekhar is the new Kannur Collector. Malappuram Collector Gopalakrishnan will be the Employment Training Director as VR Premkumar takes over as Malappuram Collector. Wayanad District Collector Adeela Abdulla will be the Director of Women and Child Welfare Department. A Geetha will be the new Wayanad Collector. Adeela is also in charge of the lottery department. Kollam Collector Abdul Nasser has been appointed as the Director of the Employment Guarantee Mission. Instead, Apsana Parveen will be the Kollam Collector.
