MANANTHAVADY: There is a complaint that the Karnataka government stamped the hands of farmers from Kerala who went to cultivate ginger in Kodagu district of Karnataka. The ink used is the one used for polls. Those who went via Bavali check post suffered the bad experience.

Karnataka had announced a seven-day compulsory quarantine for those coming from Kerala. The stamp of this is affixed on the hands. Meantime, the Bavali RTO said it is applicable to all those crossing the border.

Mananthavady MLA O R Kelu lodged a complaint with the chief minister. Maharashtra during the first phase of transmission of the disease had done the same act.
