Former Uttar Pradesh minister found dead inside house, police suspect murder

JAIPUR: Former Uttar Pradesh minister and BJP leader Atmaram Tomar was found dead inside his house in Baghpat. The primary conclusion of the police is that it was a murder. It is learnt that Tomar's body was found in suspicious circumstances as a towel was wrapped around his neck. His mobile phone and car have been stolen.

Senior police officials in the state arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. A police dog and forensic experts arrived at the scene.

Tomar was found dead when his driver arrived at work as usual on Friday morning. The incident came to light when the driver looked inside the house as no one had opened the door despite ringing the bell for a long time.
