MALAPPURAM: K Muraleedharan, MP alleged that the Sangh Parivar is trying to infiltrate into the two main communities in the state after pitting them against each other. No one should take a stand in support of this, said Muraleedharan while responding to the narcotics jihad controversy.

‘Both community leaders should be ready to resolve differences of opinion by sitting together around a table. There is a drug mafia in Kerala, but it should not be tied to a religion. Some of the bishop's statements stoked a controversy. There are believers to protect him and they don’t need a Sangh Parivar. The government should resolve the dispute before it turns serious, said K Muraleedharan.

The statement by Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangad of the Pala diocese that Catholic girls and young people are being victimized by narcotics-love jihadists at an early age had courted a controversy. The bishop made the statement in a video released through the YouTube channel of Kuravilangad church. Many people came out for and against this.

Union Minister V Muraleedharan came forward supporting the Bishop. Muraleedharan said that those who tell untruths are being surrounded and attacked and that those who support jihadis should understand that the time of cutting off Joseph Mash's hand is over.
