NEW DELHI: The petition seeking cancellation of Plus One exam will not be considered tomorrow. Consideration of the petition has been deferred to the 15th of this month. The hearing of the petition was deferred as Justice AM Khanwilkar is on leave. The Kerala government had informed the Supreme Court that it is not practical to conduct the Plus One examination online.

The state government has demanded that if the online exam is decided, it will adversely affect studentswho cannot even afford a mobile phone and should reject public interest litigation.

APM Mohammad Haneesh, Principal Secretary, Department of Education, said in a reply that the Plus One examination can be conducted in compliance with all the safety norms. The apex court had sought a reply from the state government on a petition filed by a Thiruvananthapuram resident seeking cancellation of the examination.
