Annie Raja, general secretary of the National Federation of Indian Women, had alleged that there is a suspicion of an RSS gang in the Kerala police. But party general secretary D Raja had come out in support of Annie Raja. Raja's response was that the failings of the police, whether in Uttar Pradesh or Kerala, will be openly spoken. But there was strong sentiment in the state CPI against this. Kanam Rajendran had come out against the General Secretary's statement against the decision of the National Executive.
