THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan criticized the government over the issue seen on social media following the narcotics jihad statement of Pala Bishop. He asked the government not to be a scarecrow on the issue in a situation where fake IDs are used to spread hatred on social media. All attempts to encourage hatred and animosity should be opposed, he said.
The opposition leader said the CPM has a mysterious agenda on the issue. The Sangh Parivar agenda is behind the issue. He criticized the government for their stand in leaving the two groups to fight. The government should be ready to hold talks with the two parties. The government should stop trying to leave the two factions to fight against each other. The government should investigate if a section has a complaint and they will have the full support of the opposition in this regard, he said.
Meantime, Goa Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai said social imbalance in Kerala has been subverted and this is how the governments have been functioning for eight to nine years targeting vote bank. He added that he does not think Pala Bishop's reference on narcotics jihad is evil.
