Kerala records 15,058 COVID-19 cases on Monday, test positivity rate at 16.39; 99 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 15,058 COVID-19 cases on Monday. Among these, 14,336 persons developed the disease through contact, including 612 cases without an identified source of infection. 49 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 61 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.

28,439 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,08,773 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 99 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 22,650.

Thrissur 2158, Kozhikode 1800, Ernakulam 1694, Thiruvananthapuram 1387, Kollam 1216, Malappuram 1199, Palakkad 1124, Alappuzha 1118, Kottayam 1027, Kannur 814, Idukki 501, Wayanad 445, Pathanamthitta 381, Kasaragod 194.

91,885 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 16.39.
