Kerala records 15,876 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, test positivity rate at 15.12; 129 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 15,876 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Among these, 14,959 persons developed the disease through contact, including 778 cases without an identified source of infection. 44 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 95 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

25,654 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,98,865 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 129 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 22,779.

Thrissur 1936, Ernakulam 1893, Thiruvananthapuram 1627, Palakkad 1591, Malappuram 1523, Kollam 1373, Alappuzha 1118, Kozhikode 1117, Kannur 1099, Kottayam 1043, Pathanamthitta 632, Idukki 367, Wayanad 296, Kasargod 261.

1,05,005 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 15.12.
