Heavy rains till Friday; yellow alert in two districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rains will continue in the state for the next five days. Yellow alert has been sounded in two districts. The Central Meteorological Department has issued yellow alerts in Pathanamthitta and Idukki. It has been predicted that there will be isolated heavy rains.

The Bay of Bengal is expected to receive more rains by the end of this month as atmospheric pressure fluctuates in different parts of the country and more than one low pressure area is likely to form before the monsoon withdraws.
