90 percent of people above 18 received first dose of vaccine, more than one crore people received both doses: Health Minister Veena George

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Veena George has said that more than one crore people in the state have received both doses of the Covid vaccine. Meanwhile, 90 percent of people have received the first dose of the vaccine. As of now, 2,41,20,256 people received the first dose and 1,00,90,634 people received the second dose (37.78 percent).

A total of 3,42,10,890 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far, including first and second doses. With the vaccination drive nearing its target, many centers are less crowded as there are fewer people to receive the vaccine. Those who are yet to receive the vaccine should get vaccinated as soon as possible, the minister said.
