Kerala records 19,682 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, 152 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 19,682 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 18,784 persons developed the disease through contact, including 737 cases without an identified source of infection. 53 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 108 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

20,510 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,60,046 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 152 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 24,191.

District wise breakup of positive cases:
Thrissur 3033, Ernakulam 2564, Kozhikode 1735, Thiruvananthapuram 1734, Kollam 1593, Kottayam 1545, Malappuram 1401, Palakkad 1378, Alappuzha 1254, Kannur 924, Pathanamthitta 880, Idukki 734, Wayanad 631, Kasargod 276.

1,21,945 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
