Gatherings will not be allowed in districts with TPR above 5, Ministry of Health issues new guidelines

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Ministry of Health has issued new guidelines ahead of the festival season. Gatherings will not be allowed in districts with TPR above 5 percent. Programs can be conducted in districts with TPR less than 5% with prior permission. The Ministry of Health also advised that the Covid protocol should be strictly followed.

Meanwhile, Minister V Sivankutty said that schools in the state would reopen on November 1. After the high-level meeting, Minister Veena George and Minister V Sivankutty told the media that all the arrangements for the start of the class have been completed and all the details have been checked. A comprehensive report will be prepared to guide the opening of the school. The guidelines will be completed in a way that does not cause any concern to parents and the public. They said all preventive measures would be prepared and the guideline would be issued soon.
