LDF openly accepted support of communal fascist forces for sake of power, says K Sudhakaran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lashing out at the LDF, KPCC president K Sudhakaran said that the LDF's stand of openly accepting BJP's support for the sake of power was not in line with political decency. Sudhakaran also demanded that the LDF should clarify whether it received BJP's support in the Kottayam municipality with the knowledge of the CPM state leadership.

"LDF sabotaged UDF rule in Kottayam municipality by receiving BJP's support. Strong protest should be raised against this. The UDF had been ruling the Kottayam municipality by keeping the communal fascist organisations out. While communal fascist politics is unable to take root in the political arena of Kerala, RSS-BJP Sangh Parivar forces are trying to make a comeback by any means. Moreover, Kerala should not ignore the dangerous political tactic of the Left which accepted BJP's support when the BJP tries to make room for communal fascist politics in connection with the periodical controversy in Kottayam district.
LDF cannot pass a no-confidence motion in Kottayam municipality without the support of the BJP. The LDF tabled the no-confidence motion today after ensuring BJP's support through the backdoor. The BJP too publicly declared its support. If Pinarayi Vijayan and Vijayaraghavan have any political morality, they should be ready to apologize to Kerala," Sudhakaran said.
