THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Tokyo Olympics medalist P R Sreejesh visited Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at his office on Tuesday. Sreejesh called on the chief minister ahead of the reception arranged by the education minister at the Vazhuthacaud DPI office today. Sreejesh, who was the deputy director of sports in the department of education, has been elevated to joint director after winning the Olympic medal. Sreejesh will take over as joint director after the reception hosted by the education department. This is Sreejesh's first visit to his workplace after winning the medal.
Sreejesh reached the chief minister's office at 9.45 am and talked to him for a long time. Sreejesh showed his Olympic medal to the chief minister and then presented him a jersey from the Indian team. After that, Sreejesh was taken to the reception venue at the DPI office in Vazhuthacaud.
