State Film Awards: Suhasini named chairperson of final jury, 80 movies to compete for awards

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actress Suhasini has been appointed as the chairperson of the final jury for the 2020 State Film Awards. Director Bhadran and Kannada director P Sheshadri will preside over the preliminary jury. For the first time, two types of juries have been introduced to determine the winners of the awards. The chairpersons of the preliminary jury will also be members of the final jury.

This time, 80 films will compete for the state film awards. The final jury will declare the awards in the second week of October. Two preliminary juries will review the films. The films nominated by these juries for the second round will be considered for the awards by the final jury.
