THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former minister KT Jaleel received a setback on Friday after the Supreme Court refused to entertain an appeal by former Kerala minister KT Jaleel seeking to stay the Lokayukta findings that he had “abused” his position as a public servant to obtain a favour for a relative. Following this, Jaleel responded to the verdict by coming up with a Facebook post.
'I had submitted a petition in the High Court and the Supreme Court as the Lokayukta report was prepared without conducting any preliminary inquiry or regular investigation. The apex court said that the Lokayukta verdict had come into force with my resignation and therefore it will not intervene in the judgment. Based on that, my petition was withdrawn. The world does not end with one day. The truth will come out one day.' he wrote.
