KOCHI: The Crime Branch has seized the sculptures in the museum of 'antique collector' Monson Mavunkal. The crime branch officials reached Monson's museum at dawn and conducted an inspection. The action was taken on the complaint of sculptor Suresh.
Sculptures including, the Vishwaroopam of Vishnu, were captured. Sculptor Suresh had given eight sculptures and idols to Monson. Though Monson had said that he would pay Rs 80 lakh, Suresh received only Rs 7 lakh.
The investigation team has intensified its efforts to find the crores embezzled by Monson. It is alleged that the money was transferred into benami accounts, including those of his employees.
