Fell in love via online, elopes with lover, car damaged in accident

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth who fled in the car with his lover without informing his relatives meets with an accident. Four sustained injuries in the accident. The accident happened at Koliyakode in the capital city. Only when the police informed the girl’s relatives they came to know that their daughter was not at home.

Shameer (24), a native of Vizhinjam, got acquainted with the 18-year-old girl, a native of Kanjirappally in Kottayam, via online. They later fell in love. The car while proceeding to Vizhinjam after picking the girl from Kanjirapally met with an accident at Pulanthara in Koliyakode. The car rammed to a wall on the roadside. The accident happened at 5 am in the morning.

The girl’s parents knew about her relationship with Shameer. As she was only 18, her parents told her that they will think about the proposal after two years. Following this, the youth and his relatives called the girl from her house and left without the knowledge of her parents.

Shameer’s relatives Hakeem (24), Subaid (24) and the girl sustained injuries.

Subaid, who was driving the car sustained only minor injuries as the car's airbag was working at the time of the accident. The four who sustained injuries have been admitted at the Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital.
