PALLURUTHY: Nowadays, several youngsters are approaching class 7 student Goshreenath to get their expensive bikes repaired. Though he is just 12 years old, Goshreenath is an expert in repairing two-wheelers. He can even do the engine works of a bullet.
Sreekrishna Shenoy, Goshree's father, runs a two-wheeler workshop named Sree Ganesha autos near the Venkatachalapathy Temple in Mattancherry. Goshree is now a star of the workshop. He started learning repair works from the fourth standard onwards. As schools remained closed during the Covid period, he began to spend more time in the workshop. He eventually learned everything about two-wheelers, including engine work.
Nowadays, many people want Goshree to repair their bikes. Shenoy replies to them by saying, "He is not an employee, let him do it for his pleasure." Goshree does not drive two-wheelers. Hence, his father will drive the bikes and tell him about the problems that need to be fixed.
New bikes are also repaired here. Some people come just to see the bikes getting repaired. Goshree, a student of Mattancherry TD High School, comes straight to the workshop after his online class at 8.30 am.
