Many people who wanted to go to Lakhimpur Kheri are behind the violence: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that no arrests will be made in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence without clear evidence. The Uttar Pradesh CM, who said that everyone was equal before the law, added that an investigation was underway.

"No one can be arrested without evidence. An FIR has been registered on the basis of the complaint. None of the culprits would escape. We would not act out of pressure," he said.

Yogi Adityanath also criticized opposition leaders for visiting the families of those killed in Lakhimpur. He added that many people who wanted to go to Lakhimpur are behind the violence and everything will become clear after the investigation.
