The lines in the letter are enough to understand why his fatherly roles have a touching and beautiful light. That father has left us now. Our relationship started with Daya. Then Udhaharanam Sujatha, Jack and Jill and the last one Marakkar. He was always on the call, though there were only a few films in which we acted together. I would at times tease him calling ‘Kodumudi Venu’ in memory of reading it somewhere. He was so high then in acting and in life. He was a mountain that taught many things, gave shade and coolness. The mind would always bow down to him. He will be in our minds as an immortal memory,’ painful adieu…mourns Manju Warrier.
