Sidhu likely to continue as Punjab Congress chief, says he will accept High Command decision

NEW DELHI: Navjot Singh Sidhu will continue as Punjab Congress president. Sidhu said he has full faith in the leadership of party chief Sonia Gandhi and any decision taken by her will be acceptable.

Sidhu met AICC general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal and party general secretary in-charge of Punjab affairs Harish Rawat at the party headquarters. An official announcement will be made on Friday, Harish Rawat said.

News agencies quoted Harish Rawat as saying that Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Sidhu had discussed a few issues and a solution would be worked out soon.
