Anitha informs IG Lakshman about Monson’s arrest, WhatsApp chats out, Anitha to be summoned from abroad and questioned

KOCHI: The details of the WhatsApp chats between IG Lakshman and Italy based Malayalee Anitha Pullayil regarding the arrest of antique collector Monson Mavunkal, are out. Anitha in her chat with IG hinted that the then DGP Lokanath Behra had expressed suspicion on Monson’s dealings. The crime branch team investigating the case obtained many digital proofs including this.

The details of the chat shortly after Monson's arrest have been surfaced. Monson was arrested on September 25. Anitha and IG Laxman chatted at 9.30 pm that night. Anita informed about Monson’s arrest. However, IG’s reply to it is found deleted. Anitha hinted that Behra expressed suspicion on Monson’s dealings.

The investigating team is of the belief that Anitha knows more about Monson's dealings. It was Anitha who introduced Monson to former DGP Lokanath Behra. The crime branch is thinking of summoning and questioning Anitha, who is currently abroad.
