Turning point in death of one and a half-year-old girl after falling into river, mother says father pushed her

KANNUR: A turning point in the incident where a one-and-a-half-year-old girl named Anvitha fell into a river and died at Pathipalam in Kannur. Anvitha's mother Sona told police that her husband had thrown her and the baby into the river.

Her husband Shinu is in hiding. Kathiroor police have started an investigation for him. Earlier, it was learned that the three had reached Pathipalam together. Sona's mother was rescued by locals. The child's dead body was shifted to Koothuparambu government hospital.
