Elderly man drowns in waterlogged area

THIRUVALLA: An elderly man drowned in a waterlogged area near his house. The deceased has been identified as Nedumbram native Raveendra Panicker (72). The incident took place at around 11 am on Tuesday. Ravindra Panicker had moved to his son's house two days ago after his house was flooded. He fell into the water when he went back to his home to check if all the appliances were safe. Though he was rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, his life could not be saved. The body is kept at the mortuary of the Thiruvalla Medical Mission Hospital.
