ed

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has stayed the High Court order allowing the trial court to examine the evidence against the ED officials who investigated the gold smuggling case. The apex Court took action on a petition filed by ED Deputy Director P Radhakrishnan. The case was adjourned for a detailed hearing.
The court will consider the case in the third week of January.

The High Court had allowed the trial court to examine the evidence against ED officials for allegedly coercing gold smuggling accused Sandeep Nair and Swapna Suresh to testify against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
