KSRTC incurred loss of several lakhs; Police register case against KSRTC driver

KOTTAYAM: Police have registered a case against KSRTC driver Jayadeep who drove the bus recklessly through a flooded road. The FIR stated that Jayadeep had driven the bus onto the flooded road with an intention to damage the bus and that the KSRTC incurred a loss of Rs 5,33,000 through the driver's action.

Earlier, KSRTC had suspended Jayadeep, a driver of the Erattupetta depot, on the instructions of Transport Minister Antony Raju. The Motor Vehicles Department also initiated action to cancel his driving license. Jayadeep drove the bus through a flooded road in Poonjar on October 16.
