sivankutty

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: General Education Minister V Sivankutty has informed the Kerala Assembly that Plus One seats in government schools in the state will be increased by 10 percent. The number of students has also been calculated at the taluk level. There is a shortage of Plus One seats in 50 taluks. The minister informed the assembly that new batches would be allotted after examining the increase in the number of applicants. The minister also announced four criteria for Plus One admission.

Vacant batches will be identified and shifted to the required districts. If there is a demand for seats in the districts where the number of seats has been increased by 20 per cent, the number of seats in government schools will be increased by ten per cent. The minister also said that a supplementary allotment will be introduced if there is no solution after increasing the number of seats.
