Woman suffers serious injury after getting hit on head with stone for resisting sexual assault

MALAPPURAM: A young woman was brutally attacked during an attempted rape at Kondotty in Malappuram. The young woman, who resisted the attempted rape, was hit on the head with a stone by the accused. The woman was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. Police are still searching for the accused.

The woman was found by the locals in a banana plantation near Kondotty. She was rushed to the Taluk Hospital and later shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. The woman had given a statement to the police about the attempted rape. A shoe suspected to belong to the accused has been recovered from the banana plantation.
