THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister V Sivankutty said that teachers and parents who haven't taken the Covid vaccine should avoid coming to schools as much as possible. The minister told the media that all preparations for the opening of the school have been completed. "It has been noticed that some teachers are opting out of the vaccine in the name of faith and health issues. Such people should avoid coming to school as much as possible," the minister said. The minister said that no special order has been issued in this regard and teachers and parents should be aware of the situation and act accordingly.

The education department plans to start classes one to seven and classes 10 and 12 from Monday. Education department officials told the media that all classes are expected to start normally from November 15. In the first few days, only simple classes will be organized, officials said.
