Road blockade; Case against 15 Congress leaders including Kodikunnil Suresh, arrest today in Joju’s complaint

KOCHI: A case has been registered against the Congress leaders in connection with the road blockade against the fuel price hike in Kochi. Kodikunnil Suresh MP, DCC president Mohammad Shias and prominent leaders including V J Paulose are the accused. Muhammad Shias is the first accused, Paul is the second and Kodikunnil Suresh is the third accused. The police are preparing a list of Congress leaders and activists in the area.

Kochi Police Commissioner C H Nagaraju said there will be arrests in the complaint filed by the actor for smashing and attacking his car. Meantime, the Congress opposes the police stand that there is no evidence against the actor over the incident. The accused will be identified after showing Joju the footages of the incident. Joju had yesterday mentioned the name of former mayor Tony Chammini to the police. However, he said that he had neither manhandled the actor nor insulted him. A case will be taken against those who attacked Joju and damaged his vehicle under the non-bailable section.
