THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Tuesday said that Youth Congress should refrain from organising protests against film shootings in the state. Sudhakaran, who said that cinema was a creative activity, added that Congress had the responsibility to protect cinema.

Sudhakaran said that the party leadership would urge the Youth Congress to refrain from organising protests against film shooting. He added that Congress would legally face the cases filed against the leaders in connection with an altercation with actor Joju. "Congress has decided to form a human chain against the increase in fuel prices. We will form a human chain from the Secretariat to the Raj Bhavan," Sudhakaran said. It was decided at the KPCC office bearers meeting to intensify the protest on the issue from the block level.
