Closed-door meeting: Case against Congress leaders and activists who attacked journalists

KOZHIKODE: Kozhikode Kasaba police have registered a case against the Congress leaders and activists who attacked the journalists who came to cover the secret meeting of the A Group leaders. A case has been registered against 20 people, including former DCC president U Rajeev.

Journalists who reached a private hotel here on Saturday to cover the closed-door meeting were beaten up, allegedly by the party workers. The attackers also threatened a woman journalist. The police registered a case on the complaint of Mathrubhumi photographer Sajan who was attacked in the incident. While CR Rajesh of Asianet News and Megha of Kairali TV were detained, Mathrubhumi photographer Sajan Nambiar was beaten up. DCC president K Praveen Kumar said an explanation would be sought from those who attacked the journalists.
