Newlywed brutally thrashed for opposing divorce, suffers injury in genitals, three arrested

MALAPPURAM: A newlywed was seriously injured in an assault by his wife's relatives demanding a divorce. Police rescued this young man who was injured in the genitals. Abdul Aseeb, a native of Chankuvetty in Malappuram, was the victim. Abdul Aseeb, an employee of a private company, was abducted and taken to his wife's house in Othukkungal, where he was forced to utter triple talaq. They also tried to get a written reply that Abdul Aseeb was ready for a divorce, but he refused. There were attempts to stab Aseeb in the chest with a knife and to throw acid on his face.

During the torture, he sustained injuries all over his body. He was also beaten in the genitals. Aseeb's friends then informed the police about the abduction. Kottayam police reached the spot and rescued Aseeb. Aseeb got married only a month and a half ago. Meanwhile, there was a small disagreement with his wife. Aseeb was abducted and assaulted while trying to resolve the issue.
