Man talking on phone walks on railway track, jumps before train and commits suicide

KOTTAYAM: A 37-year-old youth jumped before a train and committed suicide. The incident happened at Muttambalam. He has been identified as Harikrishna Padmanabhan of Pallickathodu in the district.

Harikrishna, who arrived in a car near Muttambalam railway cross at 10 am, alighted from the car and walked towards the railway track. Eyewitnesses said he jumped in front of the train when it came. Harikrishna was the general manager of a two-wheeler showroom in Kottayam. He leaves behind his wife Lakshmi and two children.
