Assault by Congress leaders: Police registers case against journalists

congress-

KOZHIKODE: The police have registered a case against the journalists who were harassed by the Congress leaders for trying to cover a meeting of rebels. According to the Kozhikode Kasaba police, a case was registered as per the court order. The action was taken on a complaint filed by Alisha, daughter of Ramanattukara Municipal Corporation Vice Chairman Suresh Keechambra, alleging that the journalists had behaved in an indecent manner.

The KPCC had earlier taken action against Suresh, who is also the DCC general secretary, for attacking journalists. Last week, journalists who came to cover the group meeting of the Congress in Kozhikode were beaten up by former DCC president U Rajeev. They were accused of taking footage of the meeting.
