Woman attacks youth with acid for rejecting love; victim loses sight of one eye

IDUKKI: In a shocking incident, a woman attacked a youth with acid for rejecting her love. Thiruvananthapuram native Arun suffered serious injuries in the acid attack. Police have arrested the woman.

The arrested woman has been identified as Adimali native Sheeba. Sources said that Arun lost sight of one eye following the attack.

Arun, a native of Poojappura, and Sheeba met through social media. Later, they developed a love affair. However, Arun tried to back off from the relationship after finding that Sheeba was married and had two children. Following this, Sheeba attacked Arun with acid for refusing his love.

The incident was recorded by a nearby CCTV camera. Police arrested Sheeba based on this footage.
