Trains resume regular services but no unreserved coaches

trains-

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Railways has said that though all the trains which were made special services due to Covid have started running as usual from Sunday, the unreserved general coaches will have to wait. The general coaches in special trains were made reserved in the pandemic period. This has caused a setback for unreserved coaches. Ticket prices will be the same as pre-Covid time.

With the departure of 314 trains from the Southern Railway divisions, ticket prices have returned to normal. But the season ticket holders and general ticket passengers on these trains must de-reserve coaches.

Once this is completed in stages, the services will be completely brought back to normal. Priority will be given to trains that more passengers rely on during day time. About 10 trains, including Venad, Vanchinad and Intercity have been de-reserved in two phases. The rest will be completed within days.
