Models' death: Hard disk thrown into lake could not be found, search stopped

KOCHI: Expert divers were unable to find the hard disk that was believed to have been discarded in the lake in connection with the accidental death of models in Kochi. The missing hard disk contained crucial visuals related to the DJ party at the hotel. The search was conducted near Kannankattu bridge near Thevara based on the statement of the hotel staff that the hard disk was thrown into the lake. The scuba diving team called off the search after searching for about 5 hours.

Hotel owner Roy Vayalat had produced one of two DVRs containing CCTV footage. However, the visuals in the DVR did not have any connections with the case. Police also suspect that Roy might have hidden the missing DVR in some other place. The police will also conduct inspections at some centres related to Roy.
