Officials were mum on the four questions of Andhra couple who returned the baby

adoption-case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the controversial adoption case, all are eager to know the results of the DNA test of the baby brought back from Andhra Pradesh, Anupama and her husband Ajith. The results would be obtained this evening or tomorrow morning. However, the officials toiled hard to bring the baby back from Vijayawada.

When the Andhra couple handed over the adopted baby dressed in a new outfit, it was a heart rending scene for the officials. The emotional scenes are still in the minds of the official, who received the baby as per the directive of the child welfare committee, from the teacher couple in Andhra. The couple kissed the baby many times from top to bottom before handing over the baby.

The officials tried to ease their grief by consoling them. However, the scenes were emotional. The couple told the officials that they adopted the baby after waiting for more than four years of registration. The baby started identifying them and began speaking his own language. The couple moved to another place so that the baby will not know when he grows up that he is their adopted son. Officials were mum when the couple asked how could they return the baby after doing all these.

The group had two sub inspectors of the district crime branch and an officer of the child welfare committee. The couple decided to adopt the baby four years ago. They registered at the Central Adoption Resource Agency and got the baby on August 7, after completing all legal procedures.
