Adoption controversy: DNA result turns positive, Anupama waiting to get the baby

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The DNA test result of the baby brought back from Andhra Pradesh in the adoption case and that of Anupama and Ajith have turned positive. The experts from Rajeev Gandhi Bio Technology in Poojappura collected the samples of the baby housed at the Nirmala Shishu Bhavan in Kunnukuzhy at 10.30 am yesterday morning.

The test was conducted as per the directive of the child welfare committee and family court. The results have been handed over to the child welfare committee and will inform the court tomorrow. The case filed by Anupama at the family court will be considered on November 30. The child is housed at the Nirmala Shishu Bhavan under the guidance of the district child protection officer.

Anupama said she is very happy with the result. Anupama said she had not been officially notified and is waiting for the moment to get her baby.
