Seniors cut off Plus One student's hair as part of ragging, school fails to take action

KASARGOD: Senior students cut off the hair of a plus one student at Uppala Government Higher Secondary School. It is heard that the hair was cut off as part of ragging. The incident came to light after the footages of the hair cut circulated on the social media. The senior students themselves posted the picture of the haircut on social media. The student's hair was forcibly cut off at a nearby cafeteria after school hours.

Meantime, the school officials said they have not obtained any complaints against the senior students involved in the ragging. Action was not taken against them so far. The school authorities' stand is that action would be taken against them if the boy subjected to ragging lodges a complaint. Meantime, the boy, a victim of ragging has decided not to file a complaint.
