THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday said that the Silver Line project was an eco-friendly project. The CM also alleged that some people were intentionally raising allegations against the project. The Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating the LDF dharna against the neglect of the Central Government at the Raj Bhavan.

"BJP is also a part of the unholy relationship against developmental projects. As a result, there has been an attempt to drag the Centre to the movement against the Silver Line project. Various forces have joined hands to sabotage the project.," the CM said. He added that he would meet the Prime Minister to discuss the project.

The CM said that the SilverLine project was environment friendly as it was not going to pass through any wildlife areas and would reduce carbon emissions in the state as goods too can be transported on that, instead of by road.
