THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lashing out at the officials at the local governing office, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that people were visiting government offices to get their rights and not to seek favour. The CM criticized the officials while speaking at the state conference of the Municipal Staff Association.

"Officials should not deny people their rights. They should not harass the public. While some officials are not even ready to open their doors to the people, some others are reluctant to do even simple duties. Those officials who ill-treat the public should be aware of the place where they could end up," the CM said.
