ALAPPUZHA: Lashing out at the RSS, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said that the slogans raised by the RSS workers in Thalassery cannot be accepted. The CM said that the RSS workers were carrying out a hate campaign in the name of halal and that awareness should be created by recognizing this.

"The Sangh Parivar is trying to spread hatred by using halal as a tool to create tension. They are trying to divide people in the name of food and clothes. RSS is relying on communal riots to grow the organization. They even consider a cricket match as a tool to create communal tension. There is a conscious effort to destroy secularism. However, the speciality of our state is that such agendas cannot be implemented here," the CM said after inaugurating the P Krishna Pillai Memorial Study Centre in Alappuzha.
